Bringing your ideas to market can be a little troublesome. Based on over 25 years of experience Fashion Delivered have created some helpful low cost guides to assist you with some of the tricky bits. In addition we can take you through the document one-on-one to explain the process and get you going!
Fashion Delivered offer a bespoke ‘How to Create a Costing Sheet + Live Work’ service. Includes a 45 minute (approx.) practical guidance session (video call).
What’s included in your Live Work Session?
As part of this 45-minute session you will receive one-on-one guidance from one of our knowledgeable designers on how to create a Costing Sheet specifically to your needs.
Additionally, you will also receive a detailed guide on how to complete your Costing Sheet with notes on each field to be completed. Obviously, everyone’s costs can be different, but this guide and session will give you the direction you need to complete your own. (Completing as much as we can in the session).
We have provided a template [PDF – so its compatible for everyone] for you to create your own version in the software that you are most familiar with. This can be done quite adequately in excel, numbers or google docs.
But what is a Costing Sheet?
Costings tools are an invaluable part of your business planning and can easily be integrated into your tech-pack if required.
The Costing Sheet document will lay out some of the key information you may wish to include when communicating your designs to a supplier.
Having a clear understanding of the different components that make up the cost price of a garment is only part of the overall price of building a fashion brand - but it’s a great starting point and helps validate whether or not the collection being developed has potential to be profitable or not.
Why is this so important?
Keeping a control on your costs right from the beginning its both prudent and practical ensuring your project in placed on a commercial footing right from the start. Giving it every chance of success.

What is a Critical Path?
This is a central document that you will guide you through what you need do, when you should consider doing it and how long it might take.
It includes information on what your next potential area of focus could be and how long you may need to take on them.
Essentially it is your Project Management tool to help keep your project on track providing insight on how each step can interplay with the other stages.
Why is it important?
Amongst many benefits it will give structure to your project planning, provide a better understanding of your decision outcomes, assist you with your timelines and reduce potential waste and unnecessary costs.

How to Build a reliable Critical Path Presentation
A Critical Path with filed notes
A Critical Path example
A blank Critical Path template
The presentation will give you guidance and instructions on how to complete your Critical Path document in the most relevant way to your project with the field annotated slide providing notes on each step. The completed example provides a typical view on how each step moves along the timeline and finally the blank Critical Path ‘template’ provides a draft structure to assist with creating your own project timeline in your preferred software - be it excel, numbers or google docs.
It’s important to note that although many Critical Paths can take similar steps and have similar timelines each project will have unique elements and be dependent on many and varying influences – such as your chosen trims, fabrics, suppliers, country, budget and even size of project team.
Thus, your Critical Path is an organic document that will change through time as you tackle these influences and will reflect your project as it develops.

We offer 2hr (& 3 hr) Techpack+Live Work Session as our basic booking, this includes one hour for one of our designers to complete your technical line drawings ahead of your session.
The live session in which we complete the Techpack together, will be an hour. If you are having multiple Techpacks created, or your design is particularly complex, we will factor in more time and you can book additional hours, these can be split across multiple sessions dependent on availability and scheduling.

At the end of your session you will have industry standard tech packs for each item, allowing you to proceed to costing, sampling and production.

Once you have completed your order you will have a call to discuss your needs in detail with a member of our design team. This early conversation usually involves sending us reference images or simple mock-ups, along with a discussion about your ideas, requirements, and what you want to achieve.
When you purchase, we’ll send you a simple guide that includes everything you will need to be fully ready for your session.
For the most successful Techpack+Live Work session, the most helpful thing you can provide is reference garments you love for their fabric, fit, or specific details. Having these on hand and showing them to our designer makes it much easier to communicate your vision and helps speed up the design process significantly.
